Technological Challenges

The advantages of low cost and transparent transactions brought by the tokenization are appealing to any industry, including real estate, but there’s still the challenge of scalability. The scale is also a challenge in making real estate transactions grow in larger markets since it is still a very local-oriented business.

Web3 must (and has the potential to) overcome this to prove its capability on revolutionizing properties’ ownership and administration. One of the biggest challenges of crypto technology is being tackled by initiatives that are working to make transaction validations more sustainable. The future introduction of SaitaChain will help in this direction.

Cultural Challenges

Real estate investments are one of the safest and with the highest returns, but they are also very concentrated because of the high values of the properties. Tokenization presents the opportunity to make it more affordable and easier for more people to join, but the adoption of crypto must go wider to prove it is ready to manage scale. On the other hand, the perks of real estate will also be a tool of attracting users once the system is proven to be rewarding and stable.

Legal Challenges

Blockchain regulation still needs to advance to allow DAOs to operate in most countries. However, DAOs can already legally exist and manage real estate properties in some territories. In early stages of the project, SaitaRealty DAO will seek help from legal advisors specializing in the subject to understand how to operate in each desired market securely under the law.
